As you are close to three towns you will have no problem to find everything you need from your holiday home in tuscany. A very comfortable place to go to is the town Montevarchi, about 5 km away from the house. There you find banks, pharmacies, bakeries, delicatessen shops and all sorts of nice little clothes shops. On the way to Montevarchi you’ll find the IperCoop, a great Shopping Centre, where you can find everything. If you would like to go to the markets, find out where and when they take place here. What To Do In The Area?
For wine tours, advice or just buying great local wines, contact our friend Silvano Falcioni. He is fluent in English, German and Italian. Silvano is based in Cavriglia, 20 mins from our holiday home in tuscany and can come to you for a wine tasting session or with a wine box. He now represents wineries in Chianti, Castel Ruggero and in Montalcino, Col Di Lamo and would love to present to you a selection of wines you can enjoy that represent his region.
The best icecream you’ll find at Il Gelatiere. If you would like to go on an excursion it is easy to catch the train from Montevarchi. The station is called Montevarchi-Terranuova Bracciolini and is 5 km away from the house. The distance to Florence, 45 km, Siena 55 km, Pisa 130 km, Lucca 125 km, Rome 245 km, Arezzo 35 km.
